Mother’s Day

The tribute page in our bulletin has always been a popular way that Parishioners choose to remember and honor their Mothers. Simply print her name on an envelope and “In Memory of” if she is deceased or “In Honor of” if she is still living. Please also write “Mother’s Day” somewhere on the envelope. You may also choose to place a donation for the Building Fund in the same envelope but this is not required. Please place it in the collection no later than Sunday, May 2nd.

Religious Education

We are required to have baptism certificates on file for all Religious Education students (both new and returning) in the fall. This is especially important if your child will be receiving one of the sacraments (First Communion, First Reconciliation, and Confirmation) during the coming school year. If you have already given us a copy of your child’s baptism certificate for this year, there is no need to provide us with another for the fall.

If your child will be attending our Religious Education program in September we ask that you do one of the following:

If your child was baptized here at Holy Trinity, please call the office (653-6838) and leave your child’s name and date of birth on our voice mail. If you prefer, you can email us (office@holytrinitysj.com) with the same information.

If your child was baptized in another parish, please contact that church directly and ask them to fax your child’s baptism certificate to us at 653-6848. If you have any difficulty retrieving your child’s baptism certificate from another parish, please contact the office and we will try to assist you.

We would suggest that you do this sooner rather than later, as most parishes tend to get a large number of requests for baptism certificates as September grows near. We would like to thank parents in advance for their cooperation in this matter.

Summer Vacations

If you will be away during the summer months please remember your weekly offering. We depend on an average weekly income to meet all of our obligations. Many parishioners find it convenient to write us a series of post-dated cheques to cover their donations for the summer months. All of the cheques can be placed in one envelope instead of filling out individual ones for each week if that is a more convenient for you.

First Communion & Confirmation

Just a reminder that First Communion will be held on Sunday, May 2nd, during the 10:30am Mass; and Confirmation is on Saturday, May 8th, during the 5pm Mass. There will be receptions after Mass on both days. We encourage all parishioners to try to join us on each of these two dates to show your support for the children on their big days.
