Parish Mission

We want to remind you again that Mission 2010 takes place at Holy Trinity, from Monday, November 1st – Thursday, November 4th inclusive, at 7pm with mission priest Father George Gilliland from PEI. Everyone is welcome, and copies of Fr. Gilliland’s book, My Two Cents, will also be available.

Please note that there will be a couple of changes to our Mass times this week as a result of the mission. There will be a noon Mass on Wednesday, and Mass on Thursday will be celebrated at 7pm – there will be no noon Mass on that day.

Remembrance Candle Ceremony

Throughout the year we are always encouraged to pray for the souls in Purgatory in need of purification, healing and wholeness before entering God’s presence. The tradition of our Church is to remember the holy souls in Purgatory especially during the month of November. Next weekend (November 6th & 7th) in a special Remembrance Candle-lighting Ceremony, everyone will have an opportunity to come forward during Mass to light a candle in memory of the members of their family who have passed on and are presently with God or still on their way to being united with our heavenly Father. It will also be an opportunity to remember those who so courageously and selflessly gave their lives in war so that we may live. May they and all the departed souls, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

White Ribbon Campaign

The Holy Trinity CWL is supporting the White Ribbon Against Child Pornography Campaign again this year. On the weekend of November 6th & 7th they will have a ribbon at the entrance of the church that you can sign to support this campaign. It will then be sent to our local Member of Parliament, Rodney Weston. The CWL thanks you for your support.

CWL

The November meeting of Holy Trinity CWL will be held on Tuesday, November 9th in the Family Center at 7:30pm. The date has been changed due to the Mission.

The ladies of the CWL would like to thank everyone who helped to make the Harvest Luncheon such a success. The winner of the Fudge Draw was Doreen Butler and the winner of the Quilt Draw was Frances Kincade.

Halloween At The Rectory

Our pastor Father Stephen will be at home in the Holy Trinity Rectory, 21 Canon Street, on Halloween evening. Everyone is always welcome and parents with their children are especially invited to drop by for a little trick or treat on Halloween between 5pm and 9pm.
