Throughout the year we are always encouraged to pray for the souls in Purgatory in need of purification, healing and wholeness before entering God’s presence. The tradition of our Church is to remember the holy souls in Purgatory especially during the month of November. Next weekend (November 6^th & 7^th) in a special Remembrance Candle-lighting Ceremony, everyone will have an opportunity to come forward during Mass to light a candle in memory of the members of their family who have passed on and are presently with God or still on their way to being united with our heavenly Father. It will also be an opportunity to remember those who so courageously and selflessly gave their lives in war so that we may live. May they and all the departed souls, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
