The next meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Wednesday, March 28^th at 5:30pm.

The annual Lenten Development and Peace collection (Saturday, March 24^th, and Sunday, March 25^th) goes towards helping to support the needs of those living in developing, poor Third World countries. The Canadian Bishops encourage us to respond to God’s generosity to us by supporting the works of the Canadian Catholic Organization of Development and Peace. Christians are urged to share their goods with others and thus express in a concrete way their desire to come closer to God and all God’s children as a result of their Lenten efforts, through this annual collection.

The children of our Religious Education program are saving and collecting pennies which they roll and give to the Belfast Children’s Program. This is their third year and they have collected 36,986 pennies. Every little penny makes a difference in a child’s life. If you have any pennies you wish to give, you can leave them downstairs on a table or put them in the collection with an indication that they are for the peace penny fund.

Due to a funeral at Saint Joachim’s, the Mass for Joe Arsenault and son Clifford, originally scheduled for Thursday, March 8^th, has been moved to Thursday, April 12^th. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Due to a funeral at St. Joachim’s, noon Mass on Thursday, March 8^th has been cancelled.

Holy Trinity parishioners are invited to a St. Joachim’s Parish Mission in preparation for Holy Week that will take place on Tuesday, March 20^th – Thursday, March 22^nd. The Mission priest, Father George Gilliland from Prince Edward Island, will preside at noon Mass on those 3 days with a special homily followed by the main mission talk at 7pm each evening. Mark your calendar now so that you won’t miss out on this mission.

In preparation for Easter, the three North End parishes of Holy Trinity, St. Pius X, and St. Peter’s are coming together for a Lenten Penitential Service at St. Pius X Church on Sunday, March 18^th at 2pm. Other priests will also be present and the community penitential service will conclude with individual confessions.

March meeting of the CWL will be held on Tuesday, March 6^th at 7:30pm in the Family Centre.

We are asking for your assistance as we decorate the church for Easter. We encourage you to make a donation towards our Easter flowers in memory of a loved one. Simply write the name(s) of those you would like to remember on an envelope. Please also indicate that the envelope is for “Flowers”, and include your envelope number. The names of all those being honored will be included in our Easter bulletin. Deadline for submission of names is Sunday, April 1^st.
