New Years Day Levee Invitation

I Invite the parishioners of Holy Trinity and St. Joachim’s to join me for a New Years Day Levee on Saturday, January 1st from 12 noon – 2pm at our parish house at 21 Canon Street. It will be a wonderful opportunity for us to have a little visit together in an informal setting as we welcome in the new year. A light snack and light refreshments will be served and I look forward to seeing you at the rectory.

– Father Peter

Christmas Office Hours

The office will be closed for Christmas beginning on Monday, December 20th, and will re-open on Monday, January 3rd. Voicemail and email will be checked frequently over Christmas, and we will get back to you in the event of an emergency. If you have announcements that you wish to have included in either the December 26th or January 2nd bulletins, please forward them by Friday, December 17th.

CWL Dinner

The annual Holy Trinity CWL Christmas Dinner will be held on Tuesday, December 7th. Mass will be celebrated at 5pm, followed by a pot luck dinner in the Family Center. Members are asked to bring a gift for a boy or girl. Please do not wrap the gift, but bring a gift bag or wrapping paper.

Turkey Foster Families Required

We have received a donation of 55 frozen turkeys for our Christmas Baskets. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to store all of them in the church. If you have a little extra space in your freezer and can give a frozen turkey a loving home between now and December 20th, please call Sr. Nickerson (696-1500).

Christmas Flower Memorial

This year we are asking for your assistance as we decorate Holy Trinity for Christmas. We encourage you to make a donation towards our Christmas flowers in memory of a loved one. Simply write the name(s) of those you would like to remember on one of our Building fund envelopes. Please also indicate that the envelope is for “Flowers”, and include your envelope number. The names of all those being honored will be included in our Christmas bulletin.

Memorial Mass

Last year’s Memorial Mass honoured those who had died over the previous two years. Given the success of that Mass, our Liturgy Committee has decided that they we will only be holding the Memorial Mass every second year. As a result, we will not be having a Memorial Mass this month, rather, we will remember those whose funerals were celebrated here at Holy Trinity during 2010 & 2011 next November.
