Weekend Masses

This coming weekend we welcome Msgr. Brian Sheehan and Deacon Dan Bastarache to Holy Trinity.

Deacon Bastarache will be celebrating Liturgy of the Word on Saturday. Msgr. Sheehan will be celebrating Mass on Sunday.

On Saturday, August 21st, Fr. Doug McNeill will be celebrating Mass at Holy Trinity. We are awaiting confirmation on who will be here on Sunday, August 22nd.

On the weekend of August 28th & 29th, Fr. Raymund Stack has graciously agreed to fill in.

Upcoming Ministry Schedule

The next ministry schedule is about to be prepared. If you know that you will be unavailable at any time during the months of October, November or December please contact Cindy Doyle (633-5895 or doylewil@rogers.com) by Sunday, September 12th.

Update on Fr. Doucet

Fr. Doucet had successful surgery on his foot on Tuesday. He expects to be released from the hospital soon, and will be taking a couple of weeks to recover. Since the stairs in the rectory are too difficult to navigate on crutches he won’t be staying there, but any cards or letters can be sent to the parish address and they will be forwarded to him.

Weekend Masses

We would like to thank Msgr. Brian Sheehan and Fr. Doug McNeill for adding to their already heavy workloads by celebrating Masses at Holy Trinity this weekend. Fr. McNeill will be here on Saturday, and Msgr. Sheehan will join us on Sunday.

Church Doors

The lock on the Family Centre/Canon Street door has been giving us issues for several years, and last week it finally gave out. New parts are on order, but in the meantime the door is inoperative (although it can still be opened in case of a fire).

When the Family Centre door is repaired in a few weeks, we will also be taking the opportunity to change the locks on all of the other doors in the church. Through the years, some keys have been either misplaced or we no longer have a record of who actually has them. New locks will enable us to start fresh and maintain an accurate record of who has a key. We will be contacting those individuals requiring a key to let them know when their replacement is available.

Kitchen Phone

Most of the phone lines in the church were damaged by a recent lightning strike. The phone line in the kitchen won’t be repaired for several more weeks. If you normally use that phone to call a taxi after Mass, we suggest booking the taxi to pick you up at a pre-arranged time before coming to Mass. We apologize for any additional inconvenience that the phone disruption might cause.

Mass Intentions

We are accepting weekend Mass intentions for 2011. Should you wish to book a Mass on a Saturday or Sunday during the coming year, we suggest you do so sooner rather than later as about a quarter of the Masses have already been spoken for.

Weekend Masses

Fr. David Martin has graciously agreed to celebrate this weekend’s Masses at Holy Trinity on very short notice. We are confident that we will be able to welcome another priest next weekend as well. Although, exactly who that will be hasn’t been completely finalized yet…
