Our next Coffee Sunday will be held on Sunday, February 14th, after the 10:30am Mass. For those who have never attended, we invite everyone to come downstairs to the Family Centre and enjoy a cup of coffee/tea, sandwiches and sweets and join in the social gathering. If you wish to bring a plate of sandwiches or sweets, they would be greatly appreciated.
In order for the Easter Ministry Schedule to accommodate everyone’s plans, we are using sign-up sheets which are located at the entrance of the church. Please take a moment to indicate when you will be attending Mass during Easter so that you can be scheduled at a convenient time. The sheets will be available until February 21st.
Do you know of a neighbor or friend who can’t make it to Mass on a regular basis? We encourage you to take an extra copy of the Bulletin and New Freeman and drop it off to them. This little bit of contact will help them feel as though they are still part of the parish community even if they can’t be in the church. If you aren’t able to drop a bulletin off to a shut-in neighbor, please contact the office, we would be happy to mail bulletins out to them on a regular basis.
The new curtains for the vestry and sanctuary will be installed in the next few weeks (we hope), and you may still donate to this project. Just use one of our Building Fund envelopes and write “Vestry” on it.
Thank You to all who contributed to the special collection for the relief effort in Haiti. Because of your generosity, a cheque for $5,088.92 has been forwarded to Development & Peace to assist the victims of the earthquake.
The next meeting of the CWL will be on Tuesday, February 2nd at 7:30pm in the Family Centre.
This year our Religious Education students have a project called Peace Pennies. Every week they have been collecting pennies for peace as a way to thank God for all they have, and to show that even the smallest coin can make a difference in a child’s life. They have already filled a pickle bottle, and rolled $61; which was sent to the Belfast Children’s Vacation Project this week. They continue to save, and hope to send more funds in May.
Parishioners are invited to bring in any unwanted pennies to go to the cause. On Sunday mornings, you can bring your pennies downstairs to the Family Centre, and deposit them in the Peace Penny pickle bottle. If you prefer, or if you attend Mass on Saturday night, you may also put your pennies in an envelope, marked “Peace Pennies” and put them in the collection – we’ll see to it that your pennies make their way to the bottle.
Receipts are available at the entrance of the church for those who use Sunday Envelopes. Please take only your own receipt, receipts for those who cannot make it to church will be mailed to them. Receipts for individuals who do not use envelopes have already been mailed.
Thank you to everyone for your generosity in 2009!

Given the urgent nature of the situation, the Diocese will be sending out the money collected early next week. If you are unable to donate to the relief effort this weekend, but would still like to help, please feel free to send a cheque directly to:
