Remembrance Candle Ceremony

The tradition of our Church is to remember the holy souls in Purgatory especially during the month of November. On November 10th & 11th in a special Remembrance Candle-lighting Ceremony, everyone will have an opportunity to come forward during Mass to light a candle in memory of the members of their family who have passed on and are presently with God or still on their way to being united with our heavenly Father. It will also be an opportunity to remember those who so courageously and selflessly gave their lives in war so that we may live.

Christmas Ministry Schedule

There are sign-up sheets at the back of the church. Please check off which Masses you plan on attending so that Cindy can complete the Christmas Ministry Schedule. We ask that you please check off your name before Sunday, December 2nd.

Peace Pennies

Our Religious Education students are working on their Peace Pennies project again this year. They are filling a pickle bottle with pennies, which will be rolled and sent to the Belfast Children’s Vacation Project. Over the past 2 years they have collected approximately $600.

The children will be saving pennies until May, and parishioners are invited to bring in any unwanted pennies to go to the cause. You may put your pennies in an envelope, marked “Peace Pennies”, and put them in the collection – we’ll see to it that your pennies make their way to the bottle.

Christmas Ornament Fundraiser

The artists at Aitkens Pewter have designed a Christmas Ornament of Holy Trinity Church. Each handcrafted ornament will sell for $20.

Only a very limited number will be produced and pre-orders are being taken now at 653-6838 or office@holytrinitysj.com. Ornaments will be available in late November making them perfect for Christmas gifts. All proceeds to Holy Trinity’s Building Fund.
